Title: [Canticum canticorum.] Language: Dutch. Origin: [Netherlands: c. 1480]. Description: Illuminated manuscript on paper. 159 leaves. 21 x 15 cm. Textblock: 15.2 x 11 cm. Binding: Modern calf with gilt spine. In slipcase. Comments: Written in gothic batarde script with brown and red ink, in a single column of 28 lines; pricked and ruled. Exposition on Song of Songs in Dutch. Decoration: First leaf has gilded red and blue initial "H" and border with purple filigree. Red initials throughout. Provenance: (1) Alfred Bull.
