Title: [Book of Hours]. Use of Troyes(?). Origin: [France (Burgundy-Champagne): c. 1480]. Description: Illuminated manuscript on parchment. 125 leaves. 18 x 13 cm. Single column of 20 lines. Textblock: 12.5 x 6.7 cm. Binding: French 17th-century blind-tooled brown calf. Comments: Written in gothic batarde script with brown, red, and blue ink, frame ruled, with ample margins. Many rubrics appear in French. Decoration: Four large illuminations, several pages with gilt borders, many gilt initials. List of Illuminations Provenance: (1) Arthur Wilmer, Lexington. (2) Parke-Bernet, New York. (3) Brentano's, Chicago 1949. (4) Dr. Lyle Sellers, Dallas, 1949-1964. (5) Baylor University Medical Center Library, Dallas, 1964-2001.
