Fiber Optic Cable Upgrade
The continuing high speed fiber optics project connects the University Data Center (UDC) resources to buildings on campus. Additionally, the project supports services that need more bandwidth, like the data network, telephone upgrades, Distributed Antenna System (DAS), and cable TV services requiring additional bandwidth speeds. Researchers performing remote visualization on high performance computing (HPC) will benefit from the additional bandwidth and speeds supported by these upgrades.
