Guidelines

Preparing for ASMD@D

Speaker Presentations

The final schedule will list the day and time of each presentation. Speakers are encouraged to send their presentation file to the organizers before the conference begins.

Please name presentation files using the presenter name and session number, for example SMITH_Session3.

The technical staff plans to have both PC and Mac presentation support available. PowerPoint, Keynote, OpenOffice, and PDF formats have historically been supported.

Large Presentation Files

If your file is too large to email, bring it on a USB flash drive. Morning-session presenters should provide their presentation the day before if possible; afternoon-session presenters should provide it the morning of their session.

Using a personal laptop for the presentation is discouraged so that session transitions remain smooth.

Poster Presentations

  • Maximum poster size: 36 inches wide by 48 inches high.
  • Portrait orientation is recommended for the poster boards.
  • Mounting materials will be provided at the conference site.
  • Poster presenters may be invited to introduce their poster in a short oral presentation.
  • Final poster setup and removal times will be listed in the conference schedule.
